Hello and Salutation from Willemstad Curaçao. What a wonderful day to explore this island. The last time we visited we did a guided tour through the cruise ship. This time we decided to take a self guided tour because we were not able to have the time to cross the bridge and explore the city. The bridge was quite the experience in itself. It was not stable to stay the least. Once we crossed it the first site was a place were people over the years have added locks to show their love for each other. The government is in the process of building a new structure to be able to hold them all. From there we wandered to fort area that also house a local church. When we arrived they were in the middle of a service so we didn’t bother them. The music was beautiful though, an organ playing a Dutch worship song. From there we wandered to market that was called a floating market which we weren’t sure of the name.we then walked further on and saw took in the sites before returning to the ship. This was probably most clean port we did visit. The Dutch influence is very strong here and very visible. Thank you Curaçao for being great hostess. Stay Aweome.
