Hello and Salutation friends and family. I had a whoopsie. This post should have gone before Tobago. Our day on Barbados was really good. We did a self-guided of this port. The weather was perfect for our time. We have learned to always carry water and wear sweat wicking clothes. These two items help tremendously when you are at these tropical locations. You can’t always be sure that you will have access to clean water. We started the tour which was about one mile from the port. Along the way we saw a turtle which I have added to the pictures below. We then walked to their freedom center. They had a fairly violent past in getting their freedom. Along the way we saw a hummingbird reminding me that no matter what is going on around us, nature has no thought of the craziness but just looking for its next meal. We then walked to the next cathedral which was destroyed by a hurricane in the late 18th century. The interesting tidbit when that inside the church itself had tombs literally in the aisle of the church, so we walking on dead people. That was weird. We walked from there to the shopping center. We then walked to the local Anglican Church. It seemed to me like the Catholic and Anglican religions are very prevalent in the islands. We then headed back to the ship but we did stop at the fish market. The locals were very busy with cleaning the daily catch. Then it was off to the ship to renovate. Thank you Barbados for the great memories. Stay Awesome.
